Dancing Octopus Toy – Funny Electric Squid Toy for Kids

What a fun toy to get little ones to want to move! I like that is has the option for music or no music. I appreciate the music is not obnoxious like some of the other toys in this category. It works standing up or on its back. It also has sensors so it will stop and go a different direction instead of getting stuck on something. This is rechargeable so you dont need to worry about replacing batteries. The only negative I can say about this, is that there is only one volume for the music, I wish it would be lower in noise.

Honestly, this toy is just awesome. The fact that it’s rechargeable makes life so much easier. My kids can’t put it down – they’ve been chasing it around nonstop. It actually has this smart sensor that makes it turn when it bumps into something, which keeps the fun going. The music it plays cracks me up because even adults keep saying how catchy it is. And if you’re not into the sound, you can just switch to lights-only mode, which is a nice touch. Totally worth the price and such a blast to have around!

This lil dancing octopus is honestly adorable! 😍 It lights up with all these bright colors and plays music for a few mins, which is super fun. There’s a button so you can shut the music off, but no sound volume option (kinda wish it had that). The best part for me is when it wiggles up on its tentacles like it’s dancing, but even just laying flat it still looks cute. The sensor works surprizingly well – it never bumped into walls or anything. It charges with USB too, so no hassel with buying battaries all the time. It even comes with a tiny fishing pole you can stick on its head, which is pretty funny.

We’re giving it to our grandson for his 4th bday, and I know he’ll have so much fun chasing it around. Only thing tho, I really don’t think this should be sold as a “baby toy.” There are a bunch of small things that could go wrong if a baby got ahold of it. Even with an adult right there, babies move fast! Honestly, I feel like the company should change the age label. I’d say age 3+ with parents watching would make more sense.

My 3 month old grandson absolutely loves this dancing squid toy. We had a blast with it for at least an hour. It's really fun for all ages and you can't help but smile at the silliness of the music as it dances across the room. The music that plays is loud and borderline creepy but it kind of goes along with the whole concept. I couldn't locate a volume control. It is not a soft toy it's hard plastic. It seems to be good quality and durable. I have dropped it several times. When it's moving it will bump into things but it will back up and move away. However if on a table it will walk right off and fall. The wheels on the back pinch fingers. I would not let a small child grab this toy. I pinched mine a few times picking it up and moving it . The functionality serves the purpose of sensory stimulation for sure. My grandson was excited and engaged. He did have the urge to grab it which is good but I was afraid he would pinch his little fingers so I discouraged it. Not sure about the fishing pole the toy falls over if pulled you have to be super patient and pull slowly. Not sure a little person will have patience. The toy came charged. I did plug it in later but used my own cord because the cord provided is super short and the toy has to dangle or needs to be propped up. I gave it 4 stars because the wheels pinch fingers.

Omg this toy is sooo cute and silly! 😂 My kids can’t stop playing with it (and lowkey I like it too lol). It’s weirdly fun to just watch it move around, kinda hypnotizing. Love that it comes with a charger so I don’t gotta keep buying battaries (seriously every toy should be like this). And thank god you can switch the sound off, cuz after a while it gets a lil annoying haha. Def a win-win toy for both kids AND parents!
